Waning days of punk, Fugazi LIVE @ Wilson Ctr, D.C., 1988. Doesn’t get much better than this 🙂
1 year agoThis is the perfect example of what music is meant to do to people.
10 months agoWe are so fortunate to have this communal performance captured on film. And that someone realized it was worth saving. It’s like original anthropological source material or something. To be preserved for posterity now that it is digitized.
2 years agoI get goosebumps when this kicks in , people who are saying this is one of the best video’s on youtube are dead right because it IS , it’s a fucking gem .. what a band
1 year agoThe late 80’s punk scene perfectly and succinctly captured in three minutes, twelve seconds. Back then I could not imagine it ever ending. I look back and wonder if it is even possible to describe what you missed out on if you weren’t there.
2 months agoI WAS AT THIS SHOW!! I remember the half pipe. They’re actually performing on a half pipe. Skateboarding was huge in San Francisco at this time and there was an awesome skate sesh before the show. Damn, what a fun night! I’m so grateful that you posted this. Thank you!
1 year agoI feel extremely bad for one person… the cameraman. He couldn’t punk out with the rest, instead he recorded this work of fucking ART. Thank you, SIR!!!
6 years agoThere’s no good concert without a good audience.
5 years agoNothing better than small intimate shows. They are the BEST ways to see your favorite bands if you are able to.
1 year agoIt’s cool bruh
1 year agoyour comment was stuck in my head dude, seen this clip a dozen of times since and had to find your comment again and applaude your perception. It is perfection.
6 months agoThat moment is so sick haha reminds me of HR in the bad brains in that old school footage when he backflips on perfect time for the song transition
5 months agoPJ Goris ngl I 100% would have done him backstage just for that move. Sometimes I’m easy. ️
1 year agoThat BASS line is so legendary!!!
1 year agoLooks like a bunch of mentals escaped, started a band, and went back to play for the other mentals. Love it
3 months agoI just wanted to say: I’m 57, seen punk, post punk, post neo punk and all that shit. This is still the one video that is what punk was all about.
6 years agoProbably one of the greatest live video on youtube
1 year agoThis performance is all about the energy and the power that human beings can create together when listening to music.
2 years agoAwesome live band! They refused to charge more than $5 per ticket and every show was raw energy
1 year agoThis is quite possibly the best live performance available in Youtube. The energy is out of this cosmos….
5 months agoI come back to this video every now and again because the energy is PERFECT.
9 months agoI’ve been coming back to this video since around the time it was uploaded. I’m almost 50 now, having watched the interwebs be born and the world change. One thing remains the same…this is the pinnacle of Fugazi right here. I saw them several times, but would have traded all of them to be at this single show. Man…
7 years agoThe way he spins the mic and grabs it in time with drums….. fucking amazing
5 years agoThe energy, the positive vibe, the dancing, the music… my favourite music video on YouTube. If I need something to lift me up, this is it. Goosebumps every time. Thank you Fugazi.
6 years agoIts just fucking cool to see that man, so many people united under the power of music. No fighting, no filming. Just pure expression of enjoyment, wish we lived in a time like that.

5 months agoThe post chorus in this version, with that perfectly timed drum crescendo, is so much better than in the studio version
6 months agoI was lucky enough to see them on that tour and they were awesome. Their first album was really something different at the time and the live show was great. This vid brings back memories of my younger self and I’m still listening to them today. Excellent
1 month agoThis was Track 1, Side 1, first ep. Out of the gates with a classic. Filled dancefloors in DC from Day 1. Now a staple of “Classic Rock” (OMG). Well we did it, harDCore scene. Fugazi were one of the great bands of the Rock Era.
